Coffee Talk

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” Colossians 3:16.

These words are significant not only did Paul write them to the believers in Colossae, but these words were superintended by God himself. These words have two authors – both God and (in this case) the Apostle Paul. Paul’s desire is to present the believers in Colossae as mature Christians.

The primary way for maturity to happen is for the word of Christ to dwell richly within each believer. We don’t come primarily to the Bible to learn something new although we frequently do; rather we come to the Bible so we can grow in maturity. This is a slow process. It takes time. This is why we are launching Coffee Talk beginning May 7th at 6:00 PM. The goal is to wrestle with the Bible & how its meaning conforms us into the image of Christ. So, we will focus primarily on the sermon passage itself. I invite you to join me as we walk through this together.
